About

I am an award-winning writer whose work has been performed on stages and in non-traditional theatre spaces throughout the UK.

I am passionate about creating original stories and characters that inspire conversation, that amuse, that move, that entertain and surprise.

I am dedicated to putting Northern voices, faces, experiences and talent front and centre. I am from, and continue to live in, Newcastle upon Tyne. I have a bold and energetic voice that tells powerful, fun, entertaining stories that are relevant to a wide audience in the North East and beyond.

“wistful and tense … Carr’s ear for natural, funny dialogue distinguishes it from the outset” – The Stage (CATERPILLAR)

“non-stop, laugh out loud … excellent” – audience member (FAT ALICE)

“Harold Pinter meets Jeremy Kyle” – The Guardian, Readers’ favourite stage shows (IRIS)
