All At Sea

“This isn’t your CV, this is your eulogy”

Inspired by the notorious ‘Canoe Man’ case, ALL AT SEA is a sharp, dark comedy from award-winning North East playwright Alison Carr.

Drowning in debt, Colin and Deborah decide to fake Colin’s death in a canoeing accident in the North Sea. While Colin hides in plain sight, his ‘widow’ Deborah is forced to try to secure the life insurance money while lying to their sons.

But juggling grief, guilt, and a very living husband proves harder than expected. As the lies stack up and the pressure builds, what begins as a desperate plan becomes an absurd, high-stakes deep dive into love, loyalty and just how far you’ll go to stay afloat.

Directed by Maria Crocker.
