In March 2020 the coronavirus pandemic closed theatre doors across the world, but many theatres and companies were quick to find other ways to share work.

This included Durham University’s Assembly Rooms Theatre and Durham County Council’s Gala Theatre who joined forces to present Onstage: Online – a festival of events that were shared between 11th-14th June.

I was delighted to be part of the event with my short play UNIFORM (adapted from ARMOUR), which I also directed along with Jack Ramsey.

It was quite the new experience and learning curve, rehearsing via Zoom for this weird new medium that fell somewhere between a play and a film. A ‘plilm’?
